About Moonstone Beach
Moonstone Beach takes its name from the smooth, rounded pebbles found along the tideline — smooth agates and stones polished by centuries of Pacific surf. The beach is expansive at low tide, with wide flat sand perfect for walking, kite flying, bonfires, and clamming. The surf here is powerful and consistent, drawing surfers from across the region.
Unlike the busier beaches further south, Moonstone Beach is quiet. There are no beach concessions, no parking lots full of day-trippers. The guests you’ll share the sand with are largely other resort guests and local residents — which is exactly the point.
Year-Round Beach Access
The Washington coast is a year-round destination. Summer brings warm days, long evenings, and calm surf. Fall and winter deliver dramatic storm watching, crashing waves, and the quiet that comes when the crowds are gone. Razor clam season runs November through April, drawing serious clammers from across the Pacific Northwest. Spring means grey whale migration just offshore.

Hi-Tide Resort is located at 4890 Railroad Avenue, Moclips, WA 98562. The beach is immediately accessible from the resort — no car required once you’ve arrived. Moclips sits approximately 2.5 hours southwest of Seattle and 30 minutes north of Ocean Shores via State Route 109.
